02In the browser
Video Chat Directly in Your Phone Browser
Safari and Chrome can use your phone’s camera and microphone on an ordinary web page. That is all 1on1Chat needs for a private video chat, so there is no store visit and nothing to install.

When you tap Start, the browser shows its own camera and microphone prompt, and nothing is shared until you tap Allow. You can take that permission back later in your settings.
A web page doesn’t skip the usual checks, though. A first visit normally runs on a temporary visitor session; you are asked to sign in once it expires, or before a coin purchase or profile change. 1on1Chat is for adults 18+ only.
Your browser handles
- Camera and microphone access, once you allow it
- Playing her video and sending yours
- Remembering your choice for the site, depending on its settings
You still need to
- Tap Allow for the camera and microphone
- Sign in when the app asks
- Be 18 or older
The permission screens, step by step, are in How It Works.
03Your phone
iPhone and Android Video Chat
Same chat, two everyday browsers. Here is what differs between an iPhone and an Android phone, and what stays the same.
iPhone · Safari
iPhone with Safari
Open 1on1chat.video in Safari, the iPhone’s built-in browser. It asks for the camera and microphone the first time you start a chat. If you once tapped Don’t Allow, the fix lives in the Settings app under Safari. Chrome for iPhone works too, and Safari updates arrive with iOS updates.
Android · Chrome
Android with Chrome
On Android, Chrome is the usual choice. It asks once for the camera and microphone, and you can review that choice any time from the icon left of the web address. Other up-to-date browsers may work too.
What the video looks like on a phone
The chat fills the screen in portrait. Her video takes the whole display while your own picture sits in a small window you can drag aside, or tap to swap the two. Once a call connects, the button on that small window flips between your front and rear cameras.
Common device conditions
- Open the link in Safari or Chrome. Browsers built into social or messaging apps often can’t reach the camera.
- A low battery or a battery-saving mode can make video less smooth.
- Older phones that no longer get browser updates may struggle with live video.
Blocked access by mistake? The iPhone and Android settings paths are in How It Works.
04Two ways in
Random Match or Browse First on Mobile
Both entrances are built for one thumb and a phone held upright. Choose by mood, not by device.
Random Match: tap Start and go
The match screen keeps everything within thumb reach: Video, Audio and Text tabs above one large Start button. Your own preview shows while the app looks for someone, and once you connect, her video fills the screen. During free time, Next moves you on to someone new. It suits a spare few minutes, when you would rather meet someone than scroll.
Matching, Next and skipping are explained in random video chat.
Browse Women: look first, then call
The online list scrolls like any feed, with Popular, Online, New and Following tabs plus language chips and a filter. Each card carries a call button, or open a profile to see more photos before you decide. It suits a slower evening, when you want to choose who you talk to.

05Nothing to install
No App Download, Optional Home Screen Access
1on1Chat is a web app. Use it straight from the browser, every time, without downloading anything from the App Store or Google Play.
If you visit often, you can put it on your home screen. 1on1Chat may suggest this with a prompt titled Add 1on1Chat to Your Home Screen. The icon opens the same web app, not a separate native app.
- On iPhone
- In Safari, open the Share menu and choose Add to Home Screen. The prompt shows these steps.
- On Android
- Chrome may offer an Install button. Accept it, or ignore it and carry on.
It is entirely optional. Close the prompt and keep chatting in the browser; matching and browsing work the same way.
Add 1on1Chat to Your Home Screen
Keep 1on1Chat just a tap away. Chat directly in your browser, or add it to your home screen for quicker access.

Mobile Camera, Audio and Connection Tips
Most video trouble on a phone comes down to five things. Check them in this order.
Permissions
If her video plays but yours is black, the browser probably has no camera access. Tap Allow when asked; if it never asks, turn access back on for the site and reload. Settings paths are in How It Works.
Wi-Fi or mobile data
A weak signal shows up as frozen frames or “Poor network connection. Rematching for you…”. Elevators, trains and far corners of the house are the usual culprits. Move closer to the router or switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, then start again. Audio uses less data than Video.
Apps that hold the camera
Usually only one app can use the camera at a time. Another video call, the camera app or a screen recording left running can keep yours black. Close them, come back to the browser and refresh. Switching away mid-chat or taking a phone call may pause your camera or microphone, depending on the phone.
Upright and steady
The chat is laid out for portrait. Hold the phone at eye level or prop it up, keep a light in front of you rather than behind, and use headphones in shared spaces.
What your camera shows
A phone camera moves with you, so check the background before you start: letters with your address, ID cards, a license plate or a recognizable view. Never read out your number or social handles. More in the video chat safety guide.
07Free & coins
Free Matches and Coins on Mobile
Starting is free, but free use is limited. On a phone, the numbers that matter sit on the screen you are already using, so there is no need to dig through menus.
Allowances can change, so trust what your screen shows. The full breakdown is in free 1-on-1 video chat.
Free badge
On the Video and Audio tabs of the match screen. It shows how many free matches your account has left and disappears when they run out.
Free time countdown
On a free match, the remaining free seconds tick down in the call screen. Just before they run out, the per-minute price appears as a message in the chat.
Coin pill
Your balance, at the top of the match screen. Tap it to see prices before you buy anything.
Free label on profile calls
Calling from a woman’s profile works differently. Only calls marked Free are free; otherwise you see the price first, and if coins run short, a top-up panel slides up from the bottom of the screen.
08Questions
Mobile Video Chat FAQ
Can I video chat on my iPhone?
Yes. Open 1on1chat.video in Safari, or Chrome for iPhone, and tap Allow for the camera and microphone. The chat is laid out for a phone held upright.
Does 1on1Chat work on Android?
Yes. Chrome is the simplest route: open the site, allow the camera and microphone, then choose Random Match or Browse Women.
Do I need to download an app to video chat on my phone?
No. Everything runs in your phone’s browser, with nothing to get from the App Store or Google Play. A home screen icon is optional.
Can I use Safari or Chrome?
Both. Safari is the iPhone default, Chrome the usual Android choice, and Chrome for iPhone works too. Avoid browsers built into social apps; they often can’t reach the camera.
Can I browse women on mobile?
Yes. Browse Women opens the online list. Open a profile for more photos, or tap the call button on a card when you are ready.
Is mobile video chat free to start?
Yes, with limits. You get a limited number of free matches, each with a short free period. More matches, longer chats and profile calls without a Free label use coins.
What if my phone camera doesn’t work?
Check that you tapped Allow, close other apps using the camera, then refresh. If the browser no longer asks, turn camera access back on in its settings.
Can I add 1on1Chat to my home screen?
Yes, if you like: Safari’s Share menu and Add to Home Screen on iPhone, or Chrome’s Install offer on Android. The icon opens the same web app.
