About 1on1Chat and Our 1-on-1 Video Chat Experience

1on1Chat is a browser-based video chat service for one-to-one conversations with women. Here is what it does, how starting a chat works, what is free, and where to get help.

01

What 1on1Chat Is

1on1Chat connects you with one other person at a time over live video. There is no audience, no group room and no broadcast: a call is between the two of you, and either of you can end it whenever you like.

It runs in the web browser on your phone, tablet or computer, so there is nothing to install. If you use it often, you can add it to your home screen and open it like an app. See mobile video chat for phone tips.

  • Video or Audio. Video uses your camera and microphone; Audio uses only the microphone.
  • One person per call. Every chat is a private 1-on-1 conversation, never a group.
  • Adults only. 1on1Chat is for people aged 18 or over.

02

Two Ways to Start a Chat

Random Match

Meet someone new

Tap Start 1-on-1 Chat, choose Video or Audio, and you are matched with someone at random. Not a good fit? End the call and try another match.

How random video chat works

Browse Women

Choose who to call

Open the online list, look through women’s profiles and start a call from the profile you pick. Browsing is free; calls from a profile use coins unless the call button shows a Free label.

03

Free to Start, With Limits

You can start without paying, but what is free is limited. Allowances depend on your account and can change, so we don’t publish a fixed number: the figures on your screen are the ones that count.

  • Free matches. The Free badge on the Video or Audio tab shows how many free matches you have left.
  • Free time. Each free match opens with a short free period, counted down on screen. Five seconds before it ends, the chat shows the per-minute rate.
  • Coins. Talking past free time, matching after your free matches run out, and profile calls without a Free label use coins. Browsing profiles stays free.

04

Privacy and Safety, Plainly Stated

A 1-on-1 call has no audience, but that is not a guarantee of privacy. The other person sees and hears what you share and could record it, so treat anything on camera as something that could be kept.

  • Use a first name or nickname, and keep contact details, your address and social accounts out of the chat.
  • End any call with the red hang-up button, or switch your camera or microphone off from the ••• menu.
  • After a call, report or block someone from the menu on their profile. The 1on1Chat team reviews reports.
  • Never send money, gift cards or crypto to someone you met in a chat, whatever the reason given.
